The National Nuclear Regulator receives a fourth consecutive “Clean Audit Award” from the Auditor General of South Africa

On Monday 23 October 2017, the NNR represented by the Chairperson of the Board, Chairperson of Audit and Risk Management Committee, Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer accepted yet another Clean Audit Award on behalf of the NNR.

This award means that the NNR’s financial statements are free from material misstatements and that there are no material findings on reporting on performance objectives or non-compliance with legislation. It implies that the NNR understands the importance of accounting, good governance and working with the office of the Auditor General.

“We are proud of our achievement as it demonstrates our commitment to excellence, compliance to legislation (particularly the PFMA) and upholding accountability with good governance. As we celebrate this achievement, it is an opportune time for us to re-commit ourselves and pledge continuation of excellent service to our stakeholders.
As I reflect over these past few years, I am humbled to be part of this professional and dedicated team who continue to make achieving a Clean Audit a norm.” said Mr Dakalo Netshivhazwaulu, Chief Financial Officer of the NNR.

The NNR Board and Management would like to thank all staff and stakeholders for their role in ensuring that NNR maintain these highest standards and for the continued support and commitment.
