Women in Nuclear Women in Nuclear Global (WiN-Global) is a global organization which was founded in 1993 to support and encourage women working in nuclear industries throughout the world, particularly energy and radiation applications. WiN-Global is a not-for-profit organization with approximately 2500 members in 68 countries. The Department of Minerals and Energy recognized the need to identify, mobilize and support the involvement of women in various fields utilizing nuclear energy. This culminated in the formation of WiNSA (Women in Nuclear South Africa), which is an organization, that is part of the global organization. |
